This is a beginner level program designed to give the audience an overview of how to use newspapers in genealogy research. I will cover topics such as:
•using newspapers as a tool to enhance your research
•where news items can lead your research
•how to obtain newspaper items
•we will briefly touch on how to locate them online (I have an entire 45-minute program on this topic)
Newspapers are such a vibrant tool for giving life to the names, dates and places. This program will give the audience a greater understanding of how to go about obtaining them, gleaning from the information within and using them as a tool for further research.
